At the August 28 meeting of the Eastham Board of Health, there were two topics of concern to all part-time residents:
Cesspools- The Provincetown Independent reported that “Eastham Health Officials Want to Put Cesspools Behind Them”. At the Board of Health and Health Department meeting on August 28, the Health Department discussed how they would go about this.
Beach Water Quality- One of the potential impacts of the cesspool issue is summer beach closures. This summer Cooks Brook and Sunken meadow beaches were closed for a significant time.
