The most recent meeting of the Capital Projects Committee was entirely taken up as has been the case for the past 6 months with an update regarding the design, permitting and upcoming bidding for the Town's wastewater treatment plant.
Key topics included:
- Strategy for bidding and awarding contracts in light of the seasonal issues in Eastham
- Discussion of fencing around the treatment plant
- The need for Grinder Pumps and possible subsidies for property owners who require them
October 2025 Update - Eastham officially submitted the State Revolving Fund application in early October. The submission carries a 10% contingency-5% for bidding and 5% for construction. A revised meeting and deliverable schedule with key due dates for the next phases of design and construction will be completed by mid-October.

Setpember 2025 Update - The Wastewater design project is nearing 60% completion. The Town is preparing documentation to submit to the State SRF (State Revolving Fund) to apply for low cost funding. June 2025 Update - At the June 23 Town Meeting and subsequent election, Eastham voters approved the $170M wastewater treatment plant and limited sewering initiative. January 2025 Update: Eastham has launched a new Wastewater website describing Phase 1 of the Town's Targeted Watershed Management Plan. The Town website has details of the plan and the proposed Phase 1 map.
