The Eastham Board of Health is currently developing a set of updated health regulations, many of which are of particular interest to part-time residents. These articles will be reviewed and discussed at two public hearings on Thursday, April 30 and May 28. the key points coverd in these regulaitons nclude many of interest to part-time residents
- Detailed and specific requirements for wastewater systems. For purposes of these regulations, wastewater systems cover Title 5 septic systems and cesspools.
- Drinking Water - The regulations provide detailed requirements for the construction and location of new drinking water wells, Water quality requirements are set out in detail along with annual water testing requirements for all existing and new wells.
- Rental Property Requirements - Requirements for the inspection, water testing and rental certificates for rental properties in Eastham.
