On September 9, Tom McNamara, EPRTA President, presented a $2000 check to the Eastham Select Board to support the Eastham Residential Taxpayers Assistance Fund. This Fund has been created for the purpose of providing funding for human service support, emergency financial assistance, and for the general well-being of its residents. Funding for this donation was approved at the July membership meeting.

August/September Update: Documentation has been filed with the State of Massachusetts to access the State's Revolving Fund (SRF),a program designed to fund projects with positive environmental impact. The funds are released on an annual basis at rates between 0 and 2%. Getting funding and at what interest rate depends on a scoring system where Eastham's request is compared to other project requests submitted by other municipalities.

July 2024 Update: On July 15 Eastham received a key approval from the State Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs approving Eastham's Environmental Impact Report(EIR).

The Eastham Fire Department has announced that its new Deputy Chief, Eric Littmann, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in fire service and fire education. He brings an impressive breadth of knowledge, skills, and leadership that will greatly benefit the department and community.

Congratulate Chief Lisa M. Albino who has been appointed as the Town of Eastham’s new Fire Chief!

On Saturday, September 7, EPRTA sponsored a booth at the Windmill Green to share our organization's goals and activities. Two lucky attendees won prizes at the EPRTA free raffle - Boy Scout, Sean Enos, won the Eastham glasses and PT resident, Ellen Cacciapaglia, won the lovey bird house.

As reported in the Eastham Town Manager's Report dated September 9, 2024, testing for PFAS has been conducted at Eastham wells and water supplies.The good news is that there are no positive findings in the monitoring wells at any of the public water supply wells!

In February, the Eastham Board of Water Commissioners approved an increase in water rates. This increase will go into effect in your August 2024 water bill. New Rates.


Town Meeting approved the warrant limiting the number of Short Term Rental certificates to two per homeowner. Existing STR certficates beyond two can be extended.
